JOB DESCRIPTION

Matica Biotechnology is seeking a highly motivated Recruiter (Scientific) to drive the company’s growth strategy and hiring plans. This role will support different groups’ hiring plans from job description through to offer extension and negotiations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in recruitment services for the scientific, engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing sectors.

 

Applicant must be a motivated team player who is extremely organized, professional, and possesses solid communication, written, and analytical skills. This is a contractor position (conversion to a full-time role will be considered) and can be a remote role, with frequent travel to our corporate location, or work onsite in our corporate headquarter in College Station, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule, coordinate, and attend Recruiting events

  • Drive talent acquisition strategy company-wide

  • Develop sourcing strategies and pipelines of qualified candidates

  • Utilize various recruiting platforms as well as social media to identify well-qualified potential candidates for new internal positions

  • Participate in meetings with hiring managers to determine vacant tech-related positions and the preferred attributes for potential hires

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders on developing job descriptions, and identifying key areas of search focus

  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality, and salary requirements

  • Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications, candidates, pipeline, etc.

  • Know about work authorizations and recruiting-related regulations such as EEOC, Affirmative Action, OFCCP etc.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.

  • 6+ years of full cycle recruiting experience required

  • 2+ years in the biotech/pharma/medical industry

  • 2+ years of experience with a start-up required

  • Experience with applicant tracking software required

  • Certified sourcing professional strongly preferred

  • Highly skilled in reporting required

  • Excellent attention to detail is crucial

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Able to work well within a team of coworkers as well as independently

  • Able to multi-task and handle deadlines

  • Strong work ethic

  • Able to adapt to changes quickly

  • Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
