JOB DESCRIPTION

Experience in starting up Supply Chain Functions, including implementing inventory control systems, in cGMP environment.

A general understanding of GMPs, CFRs, and the processes involved in manufacturing API and Drug Product.

Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects.

Strong leadership ability, having successfully led projects, teams, and/or operational units.

Proven experience in building strong teams and motivating and empowering coworkers/team members is essential.

A general understanding of ERP systems and be able to perform basic financial calculations.

Experience supervising or managing personnel.

Build and lead the Supply Chain team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate storage and logistics of drug substance, drug product, samples, components and waste flows in the supply chain,
-
both domestic and international. Establish warehousing policies and procedures. Implement system for materials tracking and production planning.

Create and implement a Supply Chain risk assessment and remediation plan. Assist finance with building COGS models. P/L review.

Able to create and manage product and project budgets with minimal oversight. May manage total budget spend of several million dollars. Previous budget responsibility preferred.

Facilitates product through supply chain (Raw Materials, API, Finished Goods). Minimizes disruptions to product supply while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Interacts with and influences stakeholders at equivalent of higher grade levels in Finance, Marketing, QA, QC, RA, Legal, Bus Dev, etc. Understands cGMP’s related to the manufacture of biopharmaceutical products.

Expected to routinely make complex and timely decisions, within reason, with minimal direction from management.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibility and authority include: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing, monitoring and appraising performance, mentoring, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems and issues.

The employee performs office and operations including computer usage. Employee will be in a warehouse, shipping and/or receiving area regularly.

Create and execute sourcing strategies for contract manufacturing third parties.
QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree required. MBA or Masters in Operations, Finance, or IT preferred.

5+ years in a manufacturing and/or supply chain management roleof progressively increasing responsibility preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech,or medical device industry.
