We are seeking a professional to join the team in an exciting, high-impact blended role where they will serve as the leader of HR and other corporate-wide general operation. We are looking for an HR leader with a track record of building teams and environments that help innovators thrive; creating community and a sense of belonging for site-based and remote employees.


​Strategic HR/Corporate roles and responsibilities (50%)

  • Implements corporate policy at the business unit or division level across the company.

  • Leads a comprehensive talent management and leadership development strategy, including the identification of high potential talent and evaluation. This includes identifying leadership gaps and devising appropriate development plans and succession.

  • Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.

  • Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock option grants renewal, workforce planning, health benefits, and organizational change).

  • Often viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff.

  • Across the company, serves as a senior advisor, counsel, and confidante to the leaders and their respective organizations.

  • Shapes and drives strategic human resources activities to develop high-value capabilities across the business and region.

  • Leads community outreach, charitable activities and employee social programs together with guidance from senior management.

HR/Operational roles and responsibilities (40%)

  • Leads and manages the HR team by providing day-to day guidance and development.

  • Ensures the establishment of sound management practices, aligned with corporate, state and federal HR policy procedures and practices, and consistent decision-making processes across the lines of business.

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Assists senior management in the development of solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development.

  • Resolves employee relations issues through a systematic approach.

  • Works with Site Leadership Team members to generate policies or procedures to establish employee retention program.

Perform other duties as assigned and/or required, including corporate-level operational tasks. (10%)

  • Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, may require an advanced degree (Master's), in applicable field or equivalent.

  • PHR or SPHR designation and biotech industry experience is strongly preferred.

  • Typically has 5+ years of experience in a HR Business Partner role (preferably at the executive level)

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge and experience in recruitment, employee benefits, leave of absences, and employment law.

  • Must have a strong knowledge of HR principles and procedures along with federal and state laws and regulations.

  • Typically has depth of technical knowledge in function derived from experience in non-management and middle management roles.

  • Must have highly developed skills in managing, motivating, and directing employee groups.

  • Candidate must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management skills as well as computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Must be extremely organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.

  • Must demonstrate the ability work independently and collaboratively with a team in a dynamic environment.

  • Must have a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times when dealing with personnel matters.
